Below is a list of suggested summer reading books. You may choose one from the list OR one to your own liking. Please read the novel with the following essential question in mind- you are NOT writing an answer, just think about it as you read.
Essential Question: What were three distinguishing qualities/traits of the main character and how did these contribute to the character’s success or failure in the story? Examine how these qualities/traits might serve you well or guide you as you begin middle school. You will reflect and respond to this question the first week of school so it is important that you read at least one novel.
